A sander is a small household electrical power tool used for rendering surfaces smooth - as simple as that, no more, no less, but FEEL THE POWER!.
George's kitchen needed an update. Instead of buying new cabinets, they decided to re-face the cupboards with laminate. They saved a lot of money doing it themselves, George invested in new appliances.
Now that the new dishwasher is in and working great, George decides that it just doesn't fit with the rest of the kitchen décor. Nothing short of a cabinet re-surface and a whole new set of matching kitchen appliances will do! We show the before and the after, and reveal how a simple application of laminate can bring a kitchen into the 21st century! Along the way Leigh introduces us to his new cult followers, "The Children of the Hammer".
Lessons Learned
- Be careful when using contact cement - it'll glue pretty much anything together (including body parts)..
- Practice with the router on scrap materials before trying it on your doors.
