Tool of the DayThese made the job easier

Estwing Framing Hammer
This hammer looks like a normal claw hammer but is heavier and has a longer handle. It has a waffle-faced head so that it doesn't slip off of nails, and the extra weight helps drive nails more easily.
George needed more storage and george was too attached to his stuff to have a garage sale, so there was only one option: build a shed. Sounded like a good idea, at the time.
In this episode the boys are building a little cabin in the woods. OK, it's more like a storage shed built out behind the house! This complex little project takes us through the many steps involved in building a shed from scratch. Studs, stringers, headers, sheathing, shingles… all the cool construction terms are used. The boys also rely on used materials wherever possible. After this large undertaking is completed the lads regret ever hearing the word "shed".
Lessons Learned
- Plan for time! Building a shed is more than a weekend's worth of work.
- Use bracing to install walls - this keeps your walls standing while you install the others.
- Make sure your friends stay to help finish, we suggest bribing them with beer.
