Divide and Design

Ottawa-based Mountain Road Productions is looking for two interior designers–once married to each other and now divorced–to host a new design series in development called Divide and Design.

From the leftover remnants of a broken marriage, exes struggle to piece together a place to live that reflects their personal styles and values as newly-single people. It’s not easy to figure out an individual style after years of cohabitating with a spouse–not to mention the fact that their most valued possessions have been split up equally between them. As each grapples with the idea of starting a new life in a new place, Divide and Design steps in to help.

Our designer co-hosts, once married to each other and, having been through divorce themselves, understand first hand the difficulties of splitting up. But, they also know that a well designed living space can help ease the pain of separation. These two designers, having managed to keep their working relationship intact, use their personal experience along with their professional design knowledge to help the two exes create exceptionally designed spaces they can call home.
